When it comes to cooking, it's important to remember that everyone started somewhere. I don't know anyone who was born with a wooden kitchen spoon and a full set of forks. There's a lot to learn on the way to becoming a better cook, so there's definitely room for improvement. Not only do you have to start from the basics when it comes to cooking, but you almost have to start all over again when learning to cook new cuisines like Chinese, Thai, or Indian.
Preparing healthy meals is often difficult because many people don't want to take the time to plan and prepare meals that our families don't eat. At the same time, we want our families to be healthy, so we feel compelled to learn new and improved ways to prepare healthy meals that our families will enjoy (and unfortunately, in certain circumstances, hate).
Another great little tip when it comes to basic cooking is to try simple recipes for a while and then expand your horizons to more complex recipes. Most recipes have brief notes about the level of difficulty, and you can read the recipe to see if you really plan to make this dish or if you can. Remember, Rome wasn't built overnight, and it will take some time to develop a solid "repertoire" of recipes that will work in your diet rotation.

Tips for Making Mint Sauce for Thai Shrimp Ribeye
- Boil water in a pot. Remove from heat and add the rice noodles. Leave for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally (gently but firm). Drain with a colander and wash with cold water. Sit to one side. If they stick together, we can rinse them again with cold water and mix them before use.
- Bring the shrimp and steak to room temperature, then pat the outside dry with paper towels. Season the shrimp with garlic salt and pepper. Put them in a bowl and add the Caribbean seasoning. Mixture. Season the fillets with salt and pepper.
- Heat the pan over medium heat with oil until the pan is completely hot. Pour into the pot and do not stir for 4-6 minutes. Flip and continue for another 4 minutes. Then we put it in the oven preheated to 250 degrees for 6 minutes. Take it out of the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- For the rest of the dish, combine the oyster sauce, sugar, Thai soy sauce, Thai black soy sauce, fish sauce, and white pepper in a small bowl. Mix well.
- Heat the skillet over high heat until it begins to smoke, spread 1 tablespoon of oil evenly around the perimeter of the skillet, and add the garlic and ginger. Immediately add the broccoli, along with the leaves, and cook for 20 seconds (stirring frequently so the garlic doesn't burn). Add basil leaves.
- Reduce heat to medium-high. Add the shrimp and fry until they get a nice color. Push mixture aside to heat bare side of pan for 10 seconds. Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan and add the beaten eggs. Wait 5 seconds for cooking to start. Break the eggs into small pieces for a few more seconds.
- Then spread the pasta in the pan. Pour the sauce mixture over the pasta and gently mix everything in the ladle using a circular motion of the ladle for about 20 seconds. Turn up the heat slightly and continue cooking, stirring occasionally (so the noodles caramelize slightly for a restaurant-like flavor) for 1-2 minutes or until noodles are heated through.
- When ready, slice the ribeye across the grain. Layer sauce on top of each other and drizzle with the mint hot sauce (mix well before using store-bought sauce). Add pad thai and make sure you have enough.
- Serve and enjoy.
